unshortened pan
- Short Body -Manx Style- is made for a pre-1972
non-super beetle pan
shortened by 14½ inches
- These are available in three body weight choices:
- 70lb - Drag race, hill shooter - Long and Short Body - 2
layers
of hand layed fiberglass and
lightweight 3 point reinforcement.
- 125lb - Street & Off road - short car only - (extra layers of hand
layed fiberglass and extra thickness
added around body mounting flange, rear
fenders and deck, front fenders, and
especially driver and passenger
exit/entry area). This body also includes 3
point reinforcement, including extra strength
under rear seat area.
- 140lb - Street & Off road - long car only - (extra layers of hand
layed fiberglass and extra thickness
added around body mounting flange, rear
fenders and deck, front fenders, and
especially driver and passenger
exit/entry area). This body also includes 3
point reinforcement, including extra strength
under rear seat area.
- Hand Layed not chopped and sprayed
- Gel Coat is sprayed 20-24 mils thick (in fact, 4 gallons are used
on Long Body and 3 gallons for Short) not brushed or rolled 2-6 mils
thick.
- 27 Standard Colors (NO EXTRA CHARGE for Metal Flake!)

Custom Colors available at a nominal up charge
(approximate cost can be as low as $100.00 for the upgraded colors)
- If you send us a sample we can usually match it, unfortunately we cannot
match clearcoat/basecoat pearls, and all custom color matching is done on
a
time and materials basis.
